OMCC January 2015 Periodic
OMCC Jan 15 Periodic
Well firstly, a Happy New Year to you all. Hopefully the festive season
was kind to you all and you are planning your biking year to be better
than ever.
The first bit of news is a reminder for you all to renew your membership
(Subs due from the 1st Jan). When you do, you'll notice a snazzy
updated website (OMCC are not immune from the latest trends, thank you
to the WebMaster).
We are busy trying to finalise the 2015 calendar. However, some of the
disciplines have been proving frustrating to sort.
Firstly, Offroad. Despite the best efforts of Tony and Bob, Landmarc
have given us the complete run-around. To that end, I will be pressing
them next Monday to provide us with a coherent list. However, in the
meantime, we have had to conclude that running an Offroad event in
January would not be possible, so we have had to cancel it. This is
especially disappointing noting the runaway success of the December
event. Rest assured that we will do our utmost to ensure that the
February event will be better than ever…
Next Cadwell Park. Better news; the dates of 17th and 18th June are
booked. However, MSV will not be formalising their prices until the 5th
Jan (next Monday). To that end, once we have sorted all of the
requisite details, the event will be launched on the Website (remember
you have to be a member to book up….).
Finally, the Airfield Riding Days. The RAF Odiham Airfield Manager has
yet to finalise the 2015 airfield usage calendar; however, the meeting
to sort this is due in the next few weeks. As soon as the dates (3
ARDs) are sorted, we'll let you know.
My next periodic should follow within a week or so, when I will give you
more details of some/all of the events, coupled with significant changes
to the way places for Cadwell Park and the ARDs will be booked.
Another date for your diary is the Christmas function, on Saturday the
24th Jan; full details on the forum.
The first meeting of the year will be next Wednesday, the 7th Jan. See
you there.
Remember that there will not be an Offroad event in January.
